By downloading, accessing, or using the Catify mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Catify is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence technology to transform user-uploaded photos into stylized "cat selfies" and cat-themed images. The App provides:

• AI-powered photo transformation using OpenAI's image generation technology
• Credit-based access to transformation services
• Image gallery and sharing capabilities
• In-app purchase system for credits
• Photo upload from device gallery or camera
• High-definition (1024x1024) image processing
• Automatic saving of transformed images to device gallery

3. User Accounts and Authentication

3.1 Account Creation

• Users must create an account through our authentication system (Clerk)
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App

3.2 Account Security

• You are solely responsible for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms

4. Credit System and Payments

4.1 Credit-Based Service

• All AI transformations require credits
• 1 transformation = 5 credits
• Credits are consumed immediately when transformation processing begins
• Credits have no cash value and are non-refundable

4.2 Credit Packages

Available credit packages:

• Trial Pack: 5 Credits (1 Transformation) - $0.99
• Starter Pack: 25 Credits (5 Transformations) - $3.99
• Value Pack: 50 Credits (10 Transformations) - $6.99
• Pro Pack: 125 Credits (25 Transformations) - $14.99

4.3 Payment Terms

• All purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
• Payment processing is handled by RevenueCat
• NO REFUNDS: All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for purchased credits under any circumstances
• Prices may change at any time without notice
• You agree to pay all applicable taxes

4.4 Purchase Protection

• Each transaction is logged and protected against duplicate processing
• Transaction records include user ID, product ID, credits amount, and purchase date
• We maintain purchase history for account verification purposes

5. Image Processing and AI Services

5.1 Transformation Process

• Images are processed using OpenAI's gpt-image-1 model at high quality settings
• Processing typically takes approximately 10 seconds
• CRITICAL: Do not close the app during image processing - this will consume your credits without delivering results
• Each transformation attempt consumes credits regardless of success or failure

5.2 Image Requirements

• Supported formats: Standard image formats (PNG, JPEG)
• Images are automatically resized and optimized for processing
• Users can upload from device gallery or capture new photos
• Images should be clear and properly lit for best results

5.3 AI Transformation

• The App uses the prompt: "Transform this image into a cute cartoon cat version while maintaining the original composition and pose. Make it adorable with big eyes and a playful expression."
• Transformations use fixed high-quality settings (1024x1024 HD)
• Results may vary based on input image quality and content
• We do not guarantee specific artistic outcomes

6. Content and Usage Rights

6.1 User Content

• You retain ownership of images you upload
• You grant us a license to process, store, and transform your images
• You represent that you have the right to upload and transform all submitted images
• You must not upload inappropriate, copyrighted, or illegal content

6.2 Generated Content

• Transformed images are created through AI processing
• You may save, share, and use transformed images for personal purposes
• Commercial use of transformed images may be subject to additional licensing terms
• We retain the right to use anonymized transformation data to improve our services

6.3 Content Storage

• Original and transformed images are stored securely in our backend system
• We use Convex storage infrastructure for image management
• Images are stored with secure URLs and access controls
• We may retain images for service improvement and troubleshooting

7. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Attempt to circumvent the credit system or exploit vulnerabilities for unlimited credits
• Use any workarounds, hacks, or exploits to gain unauthorized credits or access
• Upload inappropriate, illegal, or copyrighted content
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract AI models or proprietary technology
• Use the App for commercial purposes without authorization
• Share account credentials or transfer credits between accounts
• Attempt to overwhelm our servers or disrupt service availability

8. Data Collection and Privacy

8.1 Data We Collect

• User account information (name, profile picture)
• Credit balance and purchase history
• Uploaded and transformed images
• Transformation history and usage patterns
• Device and technical information
• Payment and transaction data (processed by third parties)

8.2 Data Usage

• To provide and improve our services
• To process payments and maintain credit balances
• To store and manage your transformed images
• To prevent fraud and enforce these Terms
• To comply with legal obligations

8.3 Data Storage

• User data is stored using Convex backend infrastructure
• Images are stored with secure access controls
• We implement industry-standard security measures
• Data may be stored in multiple geographic locations

9. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with:

• OpenAI: AI image generation services
• Clerk: Authentication and user management
• RevenueCat: Payment processing and subscription management
• Convex: Backend data storage and processing
• Apple App Store/Google Play: In-app purchases

You acknowledge that these third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations

10.1 Service Disclaimers

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee specific transformation results
• AI-generated content may not meet your expectations
• We are not responsible for the artistic quality of results

10.2 Limitation of Liability

• Our liability is limited to the amount paid for credits
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• We are not responsible for device damage or data loss
• Maximum liability shall not exceed $100 regardless of claim type

11. Account Termination

11.1 Termination by You

• You may delete your account at any time through the App settings
• Unused credits will be forfeited upon account deletion
• No refunds will be provided for remaining credits

11.2 Termination by Us

We may terminate accounts for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Attempting to exploit the credit system
• Inappropriate content uploads
• Technical abuse or system disruption

11.3 Effects of Termination

• All credits and access are immediately revoked
• Stored images may be deleted from our servers
• No refunds or compensation will be provided
